I chose to do this film to emphasize that not everything is as it seems. The first scene shows a happy girl with friends, having an innocent teenage conversation. It then fades to the main character coming home to an alcoholic dad and arguing parents. She then shows distress as she walks into her room. The camera does a close up to her diary showing the depression that occurs. The title trapped means she is trapped in the situation and does not know what to do. With Alisa's help, the music and transitions give the film a sentimental tone. Some things did get cut from the film. We cut the character of a little sister completely because we felt it was not necessary and dragged the film on.

Finding times for all the characters to meet at once has been difficult. We have decided to film the arguing and ending scene this upcoming Saturday, the 7th . Alisa will be back from vacation by then, and the characters are able to meet at 1pm. The Sidewalk scene will be shot on Sunday the 8th . This was an easier scene to plan because Alisa and I are the only ones needed to be there. The very opening scene will be shot last. I needed time where there would be no students in the halls by the lockers. After taking this into consideration, I realized school is a half day on the 19th. We plan on staying after school and filming the last part we need. This is all spread out and scenes are being filmed out of order, but it will look great once it is edited. We will not have all the footage until the 19th, so until then, Alisa and I plan on editing what we have, rethinking the title, and adding music.

              This is the storyboard. The first scene shows a master shot of three girls catching up at the lockers. Then, an Ariel shot will show Mia walking home, using a drone. An over the shoulder shot shows Mia's parents arguing loudly. A two shot captures Mia comforting her little sister. Finally, an establishing shot will show Mia alone in her room, with a close up her journal. 

Establishing Shot: This shot was my idea in order to show that the girls are young and in high school. This will help the audience relate to the story line and understand how Mia is feeling. The camera will pan in during the beginning scene at the lockers. This will establish the setting of the scene. Master Shot: This shot will include Mia, Kate, and Alyssa for the entire length of the dialogue. There will also be a master shot when the parents are arguing, and another when Mia is comforting Emma. Close Up: Multiple close ups will pan over to anyone with dialogue. Mia will also have close ups to see her reaction to certain situations. Ariel Shot:  This shot was also my idea. I chose this scene to show that time has passed. A Ariel shot will be present to show Mia walking home on the sidewalk. To accomplish this shot, we will be using a drone in order to put emphasize that time has passed. The first scene is at the lockers. I plan on using Sarasota High's orange lockers. This is not only an easy location to access, but the orange makes it visible that the scene takes place in a high school. Also, the lockers I chose are far away from any classrooms, therefore, we will not disrupt any classes. The sidewalk captured by the drone will be in Alisa's neighborhood . There are not to many trees to block the view. Also, the houses Mia will walk past foreshadow that everything my look OK, but it isn't on the inside. The house to be used as Mia's will be Sadie's house . This house is smaller so the camera will be easier to move around and Mia's walk to see Emma wont be long. The hall in the house has two rooms next to each other which can be used perfectly for Emma's and Mia's rooms. It works out that the parents are already at the location, so I travel to them rather then visa versa.

Characters: Mia - Hope Alyssa - Sadie Kate - Sydney Bella - Sandy Mom - Mary Jo Dad - Craig Mia is the main character so is obviously the most important to cast. For this role I would like someone who is an awesome actor. They need to be able to portray a happy, popular girl and then quickly shift to a troubled girl. I have considered my friend Sadie for this role because she is involved in a lot of films. Although she is great, I am not convinced she can portray the depressed teenager I am trying to convey. Knowing this is such a tough character to play, I have decided myself to be the best choice. I have the image in my head of what I want the film to portray, so i know exactly how to pull it off through my acting. Alyssa is one of the friends at the locker. It is a small role but very important. This role will help show the popular friendly girl that Mia is. I think Sadie would in fact be great for this role. Trapped                                                                                                Hope Martin and Alisa Zhel Trapped is about a teenage girl who puts on a brave face to seem like a happy teenage girl. She has a hard home life, with an alcoholic dad and fighting parents. She makes it clear that one is not always as they seem. *Camera pans over to 3 girls leaning against lockers, talking and laughing as the title appears. *As it does close ups to each character, their names appear on the screen.  Mia: I am so excited to go ice skating this weekend!
